Afte nearly 20 shows our production of Hitchcock’s classic is still giong strong. Annie Ondra stars as the first Hitchcock blond. There’s murder, suspicion, plenty of tension, a chase through the British Museum, and of course…some blackmail. Originally made as a silent movie, Blackmail was remade with sound and became Hitchcock’s biggest hit of the 1920’s, and is widely recognised as the first quintessentially Hitchcockian movie. With a thrilling soundtrack inspired by the classic Hitchcock soundtracks of Bernard Herrmann performed by the James Whale Orchestra and Postland.
